Some students want to hear nothing but Spanish from day one. Others need to step back into English to understand a structure and then keep going. Luz is fluent in both, so either way works — and neither one is a fallback.

That is what the $15 initial evaluation is for: what you need, how you like to learn, and how much Spanish you are comfortable with. Your study plan comes out of that conversation.

I'm Luz Ángela,
and teaching is my passion.

Over five years of experience, I am a dedicated educator holding a B.A. in Bilingual Education with an Emphasis in English and a Master's degree in Bilingual Education. To better support diverse learning styles, I am also currently completing a Master of Education in Special Education.

My academic background allows me to go beyond traditional teaching; I design strategic, inclusive pathways that respect your primary language while building your second one.

Learning a language is much more than memorizing vocabulary; it's about having the confidence to communicate from your essence and navigating without barriers in any environment. As a bilingual educator, I combine patience and creativity with evidence-based methods. Together, we'll design a structured, conversational, and evolving process, tailored exactly to your pace.

How long does it take to learn Spanish?

It depends on your starting point and how many classes you take per week. With consistency, most students hold basic conversations within a few months. The initial evaluation is where we set a realistic goal and the plan to get there.

Do I need any Spanish to start?

No. I teach from zero, and since I'm fluent in English I can explain everything in your language at the beginning. As you progress, the class naturally shifts toward Spanish.

Are classes taught entirely in Spanish?

Your call. If you want full immersion from day one, the class is completely in Spanish. If you'd rather lean on English while you build confidence, we start bilingual and transition at your pace.

Can my child recover the Spanish we speak at home?

Yes — it's one of the requests I get most. Many kids in the US understand their family's Spanish but don't speak it with confidence. I work with children from age 5 using games, songs and conversation, and the plan builds on what the child already has.

DELE or SIELE — which one should I take?

DELE is the traditional Instituto Cervantes diploma and is valid for life. SIELE is digital, with faster results and five-year validity. I prepare students for both; in the evaluation I help you choose based on your goal — university, work, or residency.

Is Spanish useful professionally in South Florida?

Enormously. Across Miami and South Broward, a large share of clients and teams communicate in Spanish, and being bilingual is a real advantage in healthcare, sales, education, and customer service.
